AssessHIP provides an online platform for completing a HIPAA Security Rule self-assessment and reviewing structured results.

The service is intended to support self-assessment and internal planning. It is not a substitute for legal counsel, compliance consulting, or a formal audit.

If you create an account, you agree to:

• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access

You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide to AssessHIP is accurate and appropriate for use with the service.

You retain ownership of information you submit to the platform.

You agree not to:

• Use the service in violation of applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure

Certain features of AssessHIP use artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze assessment responses and help generate assessment results, capability-level guidance, and recommendations.

AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing the information and determining how it applies to your organization.

AssessHIP does not provide legal advice and does not use AI to make a legal determination that an organization is compliant or non-compliant with HIPAA.

Assessment results are based on the information you provide and the logic built into the platform at the time of use. Results may change if your practices change, if you provide different responses, or if the underlying assessment content is updated.

AssessHIP does not guarantee compliance with HIPAA or any other legal requirement. You remain responsible for your organization's compliance program and decisions.

The service, including its content, design, software, and branding, is owned by AssessHIP or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the service except as expressly permitted.

AssessHIP may rely on third-party services to operate and provide certain features of the platform. Your use of the service may therefore be subject to applicable third-party terms and policies.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also update assessment content, reporting formats, or features as the product evolves.

You may stop using AssessHIP at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create a security or legal risk.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AssessHIP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
